Froebel Carlton is one of 5 early learning services run by the not-for-profit provider Froebel Australia. The centre has 97 places for children (across 3 floor levels) from approx. 6 months to 5 years of age and is located at the heart of the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Connect. The state-of-the-art centre opened in January 2022. Our educational program focuses on immersive language learning with Spanish as a second community language, age-appropriate inquiry-based early STEM learning through our Little Scientists program, and education for sustainability following the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We will seek to actively engage with the Melbourne Connect community of professionals and families and undertake frequent excursions within the precinct and into nature beyond. The role is 37.5 hours per week worked across 5 days (7.5 hours per day). The successful candidate will: hold a relevant Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, Early Childhood Teaching qualification, or be actively working towards your qualification have excellent knowledge of the EYLF and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework as well as the NQS possess leadership and mentoring skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to built and grow trusting relationships with colleagues, families and community members have a keen interest in immersive language (Spanish skills are not required) and inquiry-based learning; an interest in STEM is a bonus have an understanding of contemporary child safe practices last but definitely not least: have a sunny personality with a positive attitude Please use the apply button and attach your resume.
