The Clinical Research Manager oversees a diverse portfolio of research activities, ensuring seamless execution from feasibility assessment to study activation and coordination. This pivotal role involves managing a multidisciplinary research team, allocating workloads, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. As the primary liaison, the Haematology Research Manager ensures adherence to Australian and international research governance policies, fostering collaboration with key external stakeholders.
About the role:
As the Clinical Trials Research Manager, some of your duties may involve:
* Work in collaboration with the Haematology Research Governing Board, investigators and research staff to optimise the profile of research within the unit.
* Develop, lead, monitor and report to the Clinical Trials Governance Board on key operational performance measures and project-related items to illustrate achievement or current status of objectives to inform future decision making.
* Contributing to the development of funding strategies and growth initiatives to support the conduct of Haematology Research at SALHN.
* Initial appointment for 6 months with possible extension for the right candidate.
About you:
* Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience in managing haematology/oncology clinical studies in a hospital setting.
* Demonstrated experience in operational management of multi-disciplinary teams within accountability for financial and people management functions in a hospital environment.
* Experience with financial management, preparation and monitoring and reporting of budgets.
* Experienced in local Human Research Ethics Committee and Research Governance Office requirements for clinical research and other statutory and regulatory requirements including comprehensive understanding of International Conference of Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practice guidelines and other relevant National/International codes of conduct for clinical research.
