About the Role
As an integral member of the Project Finance team within Project, Export and Asset Finance (PEAF), you will be responsible for assisting in the arranging, structuring and provision of project and structured finance solutions to new and existing clients of ANZ's Institutional bank, focused on the Australian energy, resources and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Play a key role in all aspects of, and lead or support critical workstreams in, the origination and execution of limited recourse financing transactions across the ANZ customer base in a manner that delivers transaction leadership, strategic insight, and execution excellence.
* Analyse, develop and review deal structures, terms sheets and financing proposals in line with ANZ's risk appetite.
* Assist with the internal credit process, to ensure an efficient and successful outcome for both the customer and the bank.
* Develop, review, and modify complex financial models for structured finance transactions.
* Work closely with relationship managers, risk stakeholders and product partners, in an innovative, flexible, and collaborative work environment.
* Support the ongoing credit management of the PEAF loan portfolio by preparation and management of account monitoring notes, scheduled risk grade reviews, waivers and consents requested by the borrower for assigned loan accounts.
* Contribute to building a high performing team with the capabilities and knowledge required to deliver on ANZ's strategy, by role modelling the ANZ values and contributing positively to team culture.
Requirements
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
* Strong relevant experience within a financial institution.
* Sound financial and analytical skills with knowledge of financial services and economic trends.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with particular emphasis on ability to extract relevant information and present in a concise format.
* Strong financial modelling skills, sound understanding of credit risk principles and other lending processes.
* Sound interpersonal, networking and relationship skills.
* A growth mindset and willingness to embrace change.
