The Role
We’re excited to have an opportunity for a strong mid-to-senior level generalist HRBP with skills across workplace relations, investigations, strategy delivery, coaching stakeholders, coordinating our annual performance management cycle and process improvements to join us on a permanent full-time basis in Loganholme. You’ll be joining a small team of HR champions, located across Perth and Auckland. Key to your success will be your ability to support our people leaders with pragmatic, timely advice on workplace relations and while getting stuck into exciting HR projects.
We're going through a digital transformation, so you’ll need to have a systems focus with continuous improvement at heart, with the ability to get heavily involved with the final stages of our HRIS rollout before rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck into some of our exciting HR projects! Your comprehensive understanding and practical application of the Fair Work Act, as well as attention to detail, adaptability and ability to keep your finger on the pulse will see you succeed.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the final stages of our SuccessFactors HRIS rollout using your best-practice process knowledge to liaise with our implementation partner.
* Proactively engage with business and people leaders on all HR matters, providing pragmatic, timely advice and enabling the delivery of HR services.
* Facilitate the delivery of annual HR calendar activities (performance reviews, engagement survey action plans, First Day Back activities) and on/offboarding activities.
* Ensure any workplace relations issues and investigations are undertaken in a fair, timely and respectful manner and are managed in accordance with relevant industrial instruments, legislation, codes of conduct, policies and procedures and in conjunction with the Group People & Capability Manager.
* With the Group People & Capability Manager, take the lead on developing and rolling out DEI, Values and Respect @ Work project initiatives.
* Provide senior manager and backup/overflow recruitment activities, supporting our dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner as needed.
* Periodically review and update HR policies/procedures/documents ensuring legislative compliance, with a focus on unifying documents across AU/NZ.
* Ad-hoc reporting, including annual WGEA reporting, employee turnover, leave balances and other HR metrics.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualification in HR or significant relevant experience.
* 4+ years of Australian experience in HR roles providing advisory services.
* Must have or meet the requirements to have a Standard or Strong myGovID (myID) account, required for filing government reporting eg. WGEA.
* Able to work with a range of strong personality types and build rapport, from blue collar to senior leadership.
* Above average/advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups (or close and willing to learn).
* Ability to balance the needs of the business and our employees.
* Construction, engineering or other relevant sector experience would be preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Ability to apply appropriate discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.
* Confident and able to work autonomously on your own initiative, reporting to a remote manager based in Auckland.
* No criminal convictions due to the sensitive nature of this role.
