Manager - IUIH Network Aged Care ServicesThe Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.The IUIH Aged Care team plays a critical role in delivering effective aged care services for First Nations Elders, significantly enhancing access to comprehensive and culturally safe care across Southeast Queensland. Since 2013, IUIH has expanded its aged care access for Community and operates across four regions.The focus of the IUIH Aged Care team is to collaborate with the local Indigenous communities and IUIH Member services to increase access to comprehensive care and provide well-coordinated, quality in-home care services to eligible aged care clients.About the Role As a manager of IUIH Network Aged Care Services, you will be primarily responsible for leading the development and implementation of culturally appropriate aged care service initiatives across the IUIH network. Using high level data analysis, access patterns and service offerings you will aim to continuously improve IUIH Network community aged care programs ensuring they meet the needs of community.Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of aged care service initiatives across the IUIH Network, focusing on scaling services that meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elders.Oversee the ongoing development, rollout and refinement of culturally appropriate aged care services within IUIH member and partner organizations.Work closely with IUIH community engagement teams and member service community engagement teams with the aim to increase promotions, awareness, access and uptake by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals into aged care service system.Drive the implementation of culturally safe and sustainable service models, ensuring compliance with national aged care standards and IUIH Network policies.Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, non-government organisations, and community-controlled member services to facilitate seamless aged care delivery and integration with other health services.Work closely with the Data & Research Team to collect and collate data on needs, access patterns, existing service updates and responses, and service gaps to ensure the ongoing development of Aged Care service offerings is informed by the best available evidence.Drive and deliver continuous cycles of data sharing, feedback, benchmarking, reflection, analysis and improvement in service systems and service delivery.About You Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)Current Criminal History CheckCurrent Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card)Current Disability Worker Screening Check (QLD Yellow Card)Demonstrated extensive expertise in the modern aged care systems, including an understanding of current reforms, policies and regulatory frameworks.5+ years of Senior management experience within the aged care sector, with a strong operational and strategic leadership track record.Desirable, but not mandatory Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.What Can We Offer?
