SICE ANZ is currently seeking Control System Engineers to join our team responsible for the development, integration, testing and commissioning of the PLC-based Plant Management and Control Systems (PMCS) for the M6 Stage 1 project.The M6 Stage 1 will deliver the missing link from Sydney's south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads, and help return local streets to local communities.As part of the PMCS team, this role will be responsible for: Technical requirements review and analysis Development of system functional design documentation PLC software design development, system implementation, configuration, testing and commissioning Programming of PLCs code as per the design to meet system requirements and technical specifications. Testing and correcting errors in the PLCs code within established testing procedures and and quality standards to ensure the system performs according to the specifications. Liaising with clients and third-party vendors on aspects of the design and construction, providing feedback or request for information to the designer Review of vendor's specifications, technical information, datasheets, etc. Collaborating with the local and offshore software development team in Spain during the development, testing and commissioning activities of the project. The preferred candidate will bring the following: Bachelor Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar field of engineering 3-5 years of experience in development, design, integration, testing and commissioning of SCADA software and PLC-based automation and control systems Relevant experience in the delivery of Plant Management and Control Systems (PMCS) for tunnel projects is desirable Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA or DCS technologies – Rockwell (Allen Bradley) preferrable. Strong PLC Programming skills (e.g. Ladder, STL, Function Blocks) Be part of large scale infrastructure projects.
