The Role The Manager Renewal Project Engineering role is responsible for overseeing and managing the scoping, design, and documentation of engineering projects focused on the renewal, refurbishment, or upgrade of existing infrastructure or systems.
This role involves coordinating teams, managing budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and driving project efficiency to ensure successful and timely project completion.
The manager also works closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Manage, motivate and lead an Engineering and Design Team within the Project Delivery Group to drive an outcome focussed, collaborative and performance-orientated team culture Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within financial constraints Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of project milestones Lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects focused on the renewal and upgrade of existing infrastructure or systems Through daily work practices, support a team culture across the Project Delivery Group where work is delivered collaboratively, efficiently, continuously improving performance and capability For a full copy of the position description, please click HERE.
What we're looking for We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to manage and coordinate renewal engineering projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and design, with proven experience leading teams and delivering fit-for-purpose infrastructure solutions.
They should possess excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on driving performance and continuous improvement.
Strong background in management within the water and wastewater services, with experience in overseeing infrastructure renewal or engineering upgrade projects.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and interact with key stakeholders effectively.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and risk mitigation throughout project execution.
A proven experience in delivering fit-for-purpose engineering outcomes in brownfield environments.
Proficient in contract management, budget management, resource allocation, and scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
