Care For Hedland Environmental Association – Port Hedland WA
The Care For Hedland Environmental Association seeks motivated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identifying people to assist with public viewing and collection of nesting data as part of the 2024/2025 Port Hedland Community Flatback Turtle Monitoring Program.
Care For Hedland is looking for Indigenous Evening Turtle Monitoring Guides (times tidal dependent, incl late nights & some weekends). Casual role, pay rate is $40/hr and free transport assistance is provided to get to/from the beach each shift.
No experience necessary. Just a willingness to learn and to share with others information from the beach nesting activities. You will gain training and experience in the collection of scientific data from nesting turtles and turtle nesting tour guiding.
