Purpose
As the Conference & Events Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful planning, execution, and management of conferences, meetings, and events and play a crucial role in maximising revenue, ensuring the success of such gatherings. Building and managing relationships with clients to drive return business will be at the core of your responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
* Achieve sales targets by promoting and selling conference and event spaces, packages, and services to potential clients
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, event planners, and organisers to secure bookings and encourage repeat business
* Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities in the conference and events industry
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns
* Create tailored event proposals and finalise contracts with clients, including terms, pricing, and event details
* Collaborate with event planning and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
* Review and analyse client feedback and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance future events
Skills and Experience
* Experience in a C&E based Hotel environment with demonstrated precision in leadership
* Creativity is key for designing unique event experiences and finding innovative solutions to challenges that may arise
* Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management
* Confident in negotiating with suppliers, vendors, and clients to establish favourable terms that benefit all parties involved
* A strategic mindset, adept at orchestrating a wide range of events
* You foster a can-do approach with impeccable attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
* Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
