You must have the ability to work both as part of a team and develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.About the role: This key position assists in providing a high quality, efficient, fair and professional claims service whilst developing strong business relationships with operational staff, service providers and our clients. This role also requires policy coverage investigations, evaluation, negotiation and conclusion of assigned cases and those referred by the claims team for guidance/assistance. previous experience working in a veterinary practice highly regarded. Key Responsibilities: Oversee animal pet insurance claims in accordance with the Petcover claims manual, business practices legislative and compliance requirements and all other internal claims procedures.Develop and implement strategies to ensure that Petcover client service levels are met and that claims are processed in an efficient, fair and timely manner.Identify recovery opportunities and action as required.Communicate with clients and operational staff in a precise, honest and expedient manner, in accordance with company quality standards.Conduct weekly audits claims assessment. Oversee and manage the claims assessing team offshore.Attend monthly operational meetings.Conduct weekly/monthly reports.Establish and report trends that could impact the business and liaise with the underwriting team in regard to such trends.Preparation reporting annual underwriter audits.Skills and Experience: Knowledge of pet insurance industry policies, guidelines and legislation AdvantageousSound knowledge of animal health conditions desirableUnderstand medical terminology desirable.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to formulate formulas.Experience managing complex and technical claims advantageous.
