Salary package: $85,010 - $131,227 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full-time, Fixed Term (up to 2 February 2028)
The Position: This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team with active research programs in plant immunity and pathogen genomics. With no two days being the same, this role is integral to a research project that plans to investigate a link between plant disease resistance and primary metabolism. The primary pathosystem will be infections of wheat with wheat rust fungi. Diverse research approaches including transcriptomics, analysis of Arabidopsis mutants and gas exchange mass spectrometry will underly the project.
The Person: We are looking for a qualified postdoctoral plant scientist with experience in molecular plant physiology and/or pathology. We are looking for someone who likes challenging problems and encourages team members and colleagues to workshop effective solutions.
