Job Summary
HVAC is seeking a highly skilled GENERAL ACCOUNTANT to join their team of professionals on a full-time and permanent basis. The ideal candidate will possess excellent accounting skills, experience in payroll and industrial accounting, and well-developed MS Excel skills.

HVAC's expansion adapted to Australian industry needs and expanded its services across five main sectors with a purpose-built manufacturing facility and professional design and project management teams. The sectors include specialised fabrication, mechanical services and air-conditioning services, industrial ventilation, the fabrication of specialised pipe fittings for large scale water infrastructure projects and telecommunications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the company's reporting and reconciliations (daily, weekly and monthly) including financial reports for presentation to CEO, CFO and other relevant parties
* Assist with documentation in relation to retentions
* Assist in maintaining the asset register for the purposes of depreciation, asset management and capital planning in accordance with legislation, accountability frameworks and the organisation's objectives
* Participate in the annual internal and external auditing processes to ensure that appropriate systems are in place and maintained
* Preparation and review of data and balances (to ensure appropriate management approval) of timesheets to process payroll
* Cost out the hours through Pronto
* Credit Cards – process transactions, control accounts and reconcile when the statement is issued. Send invoices for approval
* Setup all new creditors and ensure documentation is completed including Creditor retention process
* Strictly adhere to processes and practices under HVAC's document control system in all work performed, participate in quality audit and quality improvement activities as required and adopt a quality focus in all work activities undertaken
* Monitoring emails – actioning payable and payroll emails with a 24 hour turn around
* Ad hoc finance administration projects as required by the Financial Controller or CFO
Requirements
* Bachelor degree in Accounting
* Experience in payroll and industrial accounting
* Well-developed MS Excel skills, in particular, well-rounded experience with spreadsheets
* Working knowledge of Pronto
* Understanding of Modern Awards and their application
What We Offer
A competitive salary between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum plus superannuation benefits.
