Follow the link to find out what its like to live, work and play in our wonderful region: Greater Shepparton: Great Things Happen Here About the role This West Hume Region Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Wound Management, is an advanced Clinical leadership Position and will provide a capacity building role, including a clinical consultancy service for wound management in the West Hume Region.
The CNC demonstrates innovative ways to provide care ensuring care is dynamic and meets the needs of the consumer, clinician and the services within our community.
The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership that influences partnerships, clinical care, policy and collaboration throughout the continuum of care at GV Health and the wider health services.
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will be working in partnership with the West Hume District Nursing services to build staff capacity in assessment and management of wound care and utilizing an evidence-based approach to clinical decision-making.
The CNC will provide an expert wound-related advice and consultancy service to internal customers, consumers and District Nursing staff and clients within the West Hume Region.
You will be maintaining open and effective channels of communication with consumers and their families/carers, professional colleagues, the health care team and external service providers.
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of five years' experience with a broad-based general nursing experience across a variety of practice settings, with a scope of practice to encompass wound management.
Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in wound management or related field.
Commitment to enrol (and completion of) in a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved program of study at Master's level or equivalent.
Demonstrate that experience, skills and knowledge you must assist to achieve the clinical domains of practice of Clinical consultation, Supporting Systems, Education, Leadership and Research.
Desirable Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Nurse Practitioner Completion of a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved program of study at Master's level.
