This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within our organisation.Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for the design and development of PICA-owned business applications.
You will contribute to and support the PICA Group technology strategy.What you'll be doing:Design and develop scalable and reliable microservices using Java and Springboot.Develop and deploy microservices in a cloud-native environment using AWS.Design, develop and integrate with REST APIs.Develop and maintain automated test suite for written code.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that align with business goals.Contribute to architectural discussions, ensuring scalability and performance.Work with data pipelines, including basic data engineering tasks such as transforming and integrating data for business reporting.Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks as business needs evolve.About you:Ideally you will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar all-rounder role with development experience in Java in the strata or property industry, but if not, the right attitude and willingness to learn and grow will set you apart from the rest!You have experience in software design principles and architecture.You are comfortable with basic data engineering concepts, such as structuring, transforming, and handling data pipelines.The ability to raise ideas and improvements with a plan to back them up.You can collaborate with others knowing that "relationships matter".
