Consultant - Communications & EngagementConsultant - Communications & EngagementOur Insights, Communication and Creative team is seeking new talent to join the Communication and Engagement team as we hit the ground running in 2022.You will be joining a diverse, supportive and tight-knit team, where you will develop and implement communication, consultation and community relations strategies on a mix of projects, large and small, for a range of government and private sector clients.The primary responsibilities of your position will be to manage and deliver communication, consultation and community relations activities for projects in the infrastructure across strategy, policy, development and delivery. At times, this may be as part of an embedded role with a client.You will focus on developing and implementing communication, consultation and community relations strategies that deliver successful outcomes for public and private sector clients, participating in integrated project teams with other professionals and providing expertise in communication, consultation and community relations strategies.You will also be passionate about shaping meaningful outcomes for the community and supporting clients to deliver innovative engagement and communication programs.QualificationsUp to six years demonstrated experience in developing and delivering communication, consultation and community relations strategies, and responding to issues associated with the planning and delivery of infrastructure and major property development projects.Experience working on major infrastructure projects.Qualifications in communication, public relations, policy or research. International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) certification highly desired.Excellent communication skills and the ability to write clearly and edit accurately to publish quality, easily understood information for internal and external audiences.A demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work cooperatively with people at all levels to achieve outcomes, including in construction environments.Good negotiation and liaison skills with an interest or experience in facilitation.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Good teamwork skills and ability to work well under pressure, be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.An understanding of the need for discretion when dealing with confidential matters.Please note: The client this role will be supporting has a mandated requirement for proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
