Senior Paralegal Region: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia About the Role: As the Senior Paralegal, you will bring your depth of legal experience to assist and provide a high level of varying legal, matter management, and support (with minimal supervision and proactive initiative) to Head of Legal ANZ, Senior Corporate Counsel, and other team members within the Subway organization.If you feel that this is the role for you, and you are successful with your application, be ready to be Bold, Empowered, Accountable, and ready to have Fun in a fast-paced and agile working environment.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide legal, matter management, and support including but not limited to: Responsible for processing and reporting of potential insurance matters and escalating as needed.Responsible for accurate completion of various reports for management.Responsible for organizing and preparing conferences including presentation decks and event coordination.Responsible for overseeing matter management and invoicing with external counsel.Responsible for preparing instructions and briefs to external counsel.Researching materials for business projects and initiatives.General legal administrative tasks as required.Review draft legal documents prepared by Paralegals escalating to Senior Corporate Counsel as required.Ability to also prepare documents when needed.Ability to contribute and manage tasks associated with special projects (including workplace auditing) and other initiatives related to the ANZ business unit.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as territory teams, mediators, government departments, and financiers as required in fulfilment of responsibilities.Qualifications, experience and skills: Paralegal Certificate or Legal Studies Certificate required.5 plus years experience in a similar role within a retail/consumer environment (QSR an advantage).Extensive knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures.Demonstrated ability to take initiative, independently manage tasks, balance shifting priorities, and drive completion of team deadlines.Strong organizational skills including legal operations and file management.Meticulous attention to detail.Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive matters with discretion.Demonstrate an analytical approach and ability to review files/matters.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and research skills.High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).Proficiency in Smart Sheets preferred.Ability to learn various computer platforms (i.e., Legal Tracker, On Base, Data Systems, etc.).What do we Offer?
