In this role, you will be responsible for driving Lion’s growth agenda by developing and executing channel strategies that maximise sales, market share, and in-store brand impact. This role is critical in transforming Lion’s growth strategy into the marketplace. The role is hybrid, which means you’ll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.A day in the lifeDevelop and execute best-in-class channel strategies across retail, linked to key value drivers that deliver sustainable sales growth and profitability.Support the Channel and Perfect Execution Director to identify, commercialise and prioritise the marketplace opportunities, including consideration of Joint Customer Business Plans, category and portfolio strategy.Champion the “Perfect Store” initiative, ensuring Lion’s products consistently deliver exceptional visibility, placement, and impact across all retail environments.Present clear, actionable insights and results to senior leadership, highlighting successes, learnings, and future opportunities, reporting at all levels to drive action.Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of channel and customer execution professionals.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, category, and operations, to deliver integrated channel plans and seamless execution aligned with Lion’s business objectives.Monitor the effectiveness of channel and in-store strategies, using data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.What you’ll bringA growth-focused mindset.The ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership.Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering sales growth through strategic channel development and retail execution.Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.Deep understanding of Australia’s retail beverage/FMCG channel landscape - it would be an advantage if you bring an understanding of consumer and category dynamics across beer, RTDs, and spirits.8+ years of working experience in FMCG across channel management, trade marketing, national sales, and/or in-store execution.At Lion, we offer ‘growth on tap’ and reaching higher with each new challenge.
