Senior Occupational Therapist – Full Time Tasmanian Health Service – North West Tasmania To be Tasmanian is to pursue quality over quantity.
We create, preserve, and protect the unusual.
With quiet confidence, with passion and perseverance, we pursue the extraordinary.
Could you be Tasmanian?
You've invested in your leadership and your clinical rehabilitation skills so you can make an impression in your career, advancing the Occupational Therapy profession and improving the lives of the people you serve.
You could put this skillset into practise anywhere.
What's different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle.
Our relative isolation helps drive a culture of curiosity, invention and human connection.
Here you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks or award-winning restaurants or bars.
After a big day at work, you won't need to battle an hour's commute.
You might get on your bike or put on your walking shoes and head home through the tree-lined streets, past heritage buildings or quirky and quaint hideaways.
Some people trek the coastline in the early mornings and on weekends, or take painting classes, write novels, sell preserves at the weekly farmers' market, or become wine connoisseurs.
Some people take up roles in sport clubs, theatre or music groups, as volunteers, or serving on boards.
Spouses and children can thrive here in a safe and welcoming community with beautiful open spaces for adventure and play.
We are a close-knit group of 21 in our OT team, a mixture of locals and new Tasmanian adventurers.
We rotate across all of the clinical services provided at both the North-West Regional and Mersey Community Hospital's.
We are continuously growing, developing new services and re-designing old ones.
It's an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practise that sees you closely linked to the whole multidisciplinary team.
We'll look after you from the very beginning, ensure you are fully inducted and welcomed into our culture.
Your fellow Allied Health colleagues, as well as the Nursing, Medical and Surgical specialists will rely on you thriving in your work and will be invested in making this a reality.
