About the role and where you will be working
The Executive Chef serves as a strategic leader, driving innovation and excellence in the culinary landscape of our residential division. This role fosters a culture focused on culinary distinction, creativity, and a resident-centred approach, ensuring top-tier standards in food safety, presentation, and nutritional quality to enhance the well-being and dining experiences of our residents. Collaborating with key stakeholders, the Executive Chef will develop and execute a comprehensive culinary and dining strategy that aligns with SCC(WA)'s overall vision, regulatory requirements, the Aged Care Quality Standards, and the evolving preferences and needs of our residents.
Your responsibilities will include;
Design and execute an innovative culinary and dining strategy that aligns with organizational objectives while catering to the preferences and needs of residents.
Manage the planning and implementation of exceptional culinary programs across all residential aged care facilities.
Recruit, train, mentor, and manage performance to develop and lead a high-performing culinary team.
Work closely with residents, families, and staff to collect feedback and insights that will shape the culinary and dining experience strategy.
Lead kitchen staff and other chefs at facilities
About you
With advanced culinary expertise, you will hold a Diploma in Hospitality and have extensive experience as an Executive Chef. You should be skilled in driving quality improvements and collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance kitchen management, menu development, and food costing, while staying updated on culinary trends and nutritional principles.
You will excel in strategic leadership, aligning culinary vision with organizational goals, leading high-performing teams, and managing business operations. Your strong communication skills and financial management expertise support success in achieving team and business objectives.
To be considered for this role you’ll need:
Initiative and the ability to effectively prioritise & multi task.
Great interpersonal & communication skills.
Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent
Demonstrated expertise in menu development, food costing, kitchen management, and culinary trends
