Support the Underwriters in the region in all tasks related to the underwriting and administration support. Work closely with our Underwriters supporting them in their activities associated with renewals, maintenance of the accounts and on models and systems. Assist the team in data quality assurance and continuous development of best practice in Business Services.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
1. Underwriting under guidance (within limits); preparing individual cases for pricing and modelling, liaising with Actuaries to deliver technical pricing to Underwriter; using modelling systems to aid the underwriting process; conducting research as requested by Underwriter.
2. Conducting pre-underwriting for renewals, handling endorsements on active business, conducting specific analyses for new business, and following up on renewals.
3. Preparing monthly reports.
4. Developing an internal network for facilitating the transfer of information and data between functions and departments in order to service the requirements of the underwriters and clients.
5. Assist the business group in maintaining and developing their book of business while developing the necessary skill sets and defined authority to accept risk in underwriting of a profitable account.
6. Understand the strategy and financial targets of AXA XL Insurance and those applicable to the business unit. You will be set appropriate individual targets and goals that support delivery of the business plan.
7. Attending internal and external meetings with clients and brokers.
You will report to the Underwriting Manager.

8. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the relevant class of business.
9. Able to perform tasks according to established procedures, with some ability to exercise discretion
10. Analytical Skills - Visualize, gather information, articulate, analyze and solve complex problems in order to make key business decisions.
11. Strategy and Planning - Make underwriting decisions to fulfill business strategic plan and deliver results. Has knowledge of financial targets and levers in order to deliver on departmental business plan.
12. Industry Knowledge - Understanding of the insurance industry and specific product portfolios to positively impact the underwriting business.
13. Marketing – Effectively plan for sales and business development. Integrating the use of various techniques, tools, and information to support profitable business growth over a defined period.
