About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Analyst, to join our Regulatory Affairs team for a 12 month fixed term. This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint throughout NSW.
As the Compliance Analyst you will contribute to the development of a compliance framework to determine regulatory obligations and to ensure regulatory compliance within Essential Energy.
Additionally you will assist in the analysis, development and management of regulatory licence compliance management plans, coordination of regulatory audits, analyse and provide responses to changing obligations contained in relevant legislation / regulation and ensure relevant staff are informed of their accountabilities regarding the reporting of compliance against regulatory obligations.
About You
You will have a strong foundation in regulatory and compliance work within the energy utilities sector, with demonstrated experience assisting in policy outcomes for the regulated electricity industry. Your deep knowledge of legislative and compliance frameworks will enable you to guide and support both technical and non-technical teams in fostering a robust compliance culture.
With proven expertise in evaluating compliance programs and conducting regulatory audits, you will bring a high degree of analytical skill and attention to detail, allowing you to identify adherence to compliance obligations and deliver insightful reports to management. You are adept at assessing the broader organizational impact of compliance-related decisions and are comfortable working with business systems to ensure accuracy in data handling.
Required Qualifications
* Diploma of Government with preferred electives in compliance or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
