About the team:
We are seeking to fill existing and future Human Resource (HR) Officer positions within the People branch. The branch is responsible for strategic and operational focused HR advice and services to support business areas to meet their workforce needs.
These roles are varied across teams, and we are looking for individuals with experience in human resources, service delivery, and policy development.

The key duties of the position include:
The duties as a Human Resources Officer may include:
* Managing team inbox and escalating medium to high complex enquiries to other team members.
* Providing timely, effective, and efficient HR support and advice to stakeholders in line with legislative and policy requirements.
* Maintaining accurate HR data and HR records in a variety of different systems and databases.
* Supporting productive and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders to support best practice service delivery.
* Contributing to the development of team plans, strategies, and goals.
* Maintaining professionalism, independence, and impartiality.
* Financial administrative tasks such as seeking approval for invoice payment and contract matching.
* Identifying process improvements and writing standard operating procedures.
* Staying up to date on HR policies and procedures.
* Being resilient and work effectively and efficiently to achieve results.
* Manage your time effectively to accomplish tasks and monitor priorities.
Responsibilities and duties will be performed in line with APS Work Level standards for the classification and function of each position.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
