What we are looking for:
Seeking strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to develop engaging programs and events at Hervey Bay Regional Gallery, supporting the Director to educate and inspire diverse audiences on the Fraser Coast.
What your day will look like:
As the Engagement Coordinator you will work with the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery and community stakeholders to develop public programs, spanning artist talks, workshop, performances and more. You will coordinate education bookings and provide opportunities for diverse audiences to engage with the exhibition program. You will develop promotional material and strategically engage with local and national audiences and raise the profile of the gallery. Please click here to view a full position description.
What you'll need for success:
AQF level 5 or above in gallery or arts administration/management, and or previous equivalent experience within the arts and cultural sector Demonstrated experience in event coordination and promotion within a cultural/arts context or similar Strong interpersonal skills, including appreciation for cultural diversity and proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, audiences and collaborators. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience producing content for the digital marketing contexts. Ability to work independently with limited supervision, manage projects within budget, prioritise workload the effectively perform all duties on time, and confidently resolve routine problems. Must be a team player and have a proven ability to work collaboratively as a team member to achieve shared goals and outcomes. What's nice to have:
