The Opportunity
As our Branch Manager, you will drive the operational performance of our branch while leading a dedicated team and ensuring compliance across all areas. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing staff, contractors, and fleet operations, as well as fostering a strong safety culture and overseeing financial performance.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law.
* Oversee staff, owner drivers, and the branch's fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are maintained and compliant with regulations.
* Coach and mentor the team ensuring they are equipped to meet operational KPI and safety standards.
* Champion safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and build a safety-first culture within the team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage the branch’s profit and loss (P&L), focusing on cost control, financial performance, and operational results.
* Oversee the workshop and fleet maintenance activities, coordinating with third-party contractors to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and regulations.
About You
* Solid prior experience in managing operational teams within the logistics industry.
* Understanding of fleet management and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Skilled in overseeing complex branch operations and ensuring all activities align with safety and compliance requirements.
* Ability to manage a P&L, driving financial performance while overseeing operational costs and maintenance.
* Excellent ability to engage with staff, contractors, and senior management, fostering a collaborative and effective working environment.
