The hospital is a 28-bed acute facility that provides a wide variety of acute services and community health services from O&G, General Medicine, Paediatrics and Surgery, with a 4-bed Emergency Department.
Approximately 20 patients per day Busiest hours are between 8am and 9pm Majority of patients are Cat 4 & 5 with low acuity presentations however there are cardiac or septis presentations There isn't a GP in the town however there is a nurse practitioner who works Monday-Friday, 10am – 6pm All nurses are FLECC trained 2 reg nurses work during the day 1 reg nurse works at night and manages the patients Night doctors are only if an emergency The facility is equipped with telehealth cameras to connect with specialists through the Critical Care Advisory Service (CCAS) Deteriorating patients are sent to Armidale The location Glen Innes, is a charming town known for its rich heritage and stunning natural beauty.
