Position Overview:
As part of your role, you will be working with our installation team, reporting to our Head Installer.
Main Tasks:
* Preparation of surfaces, typically new work.
* Fixing damaged sections of wall surface (if required).
* Laying drop sheets, protection of finished surfaces to prevent paint overspread.
* Sealing.
* Selecting and preparing paints.
* Application of primer and paints to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprayers.
* Cleaning equipment and works areas.
* Other duties from time to time to assist the installation team.
Benefits:
The position is full-time and we provide competitive wages and overtime.
Since you will be working away from home, we typically works on a 10:5 roster.
The Company will pay you a meals allowance and provide accommodation for the projects where you are required to work away from home.
Skills and Experience:
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Sound knowledge of residential painting requirements and standards
* Knowledge in the use f correct equipment, brushes etc.
* Attention to detail.
* Adhere to industry safety processes and standards.
* Reliable and have a “can do” attitude to work with our installation team to meet project milestones.
* Obtained a Certificate III in Painting.
Summary of Role requirements:
* Flexible hours available.
* 2 years of relevant work experience.
* Expected start date is early December 2024.
* Expected base salary: $79,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
