About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Routine embedding and microtomy of human and animal tissue samples
2. Routine maintenance of equipment
3. Filing and storage of specimens
4. Assisting other staff in the Lab as required
5. Staying up to date with procedures
About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
6. Specimen processing and data entry experience
7. Excellent customer service and communication skills
8. The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment
9. Ability to work with minimal supervision and work as a team
10. Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately
11. A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
12. Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be desirable, but not essential
13. Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection is desirable
