Job Summary
This is a permanent, part-time secretarial and administrative position providing high-level support to Legal Practitioners within Tasmania Legal Aid.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate secretarial and administrative functions for Legal Practitioners to ensure best practice delivery of services to clients.
* Provide the first point of contact between Legal Practitioners and clients, members of the public, legal profession, and staff in other government agencies and instrumentalities.
* Maintain Legal Practitioners' files within TLA's computer system and perform electronic lodgement of application forms, disbursement invoices, and electronic closing of files on completion of each matter.
* Produce and process confidential documents and correspondence using a range of computer software, audio equipment, and word processing systems.
Requirements
* High-level secretarial and administrative skills with experience in supporting legal practitioners.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to maintain current knowledge of changes to Court procedures.
* Flexibility to work in a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Employment Details
* 36 hours and 45 minutes per fortnight.
* Permanent, part-time role.
