About the roleThis role is based in our Coffs Harbour Industrial division. We provide industrial vacuum loading, high pressure water jetting/blasting, and liquid waste service solutions to a range of clients across NSW. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be joining an established team to assist in the overseeing of the daily operations and the continual improvement of work planning and execution across a range of tasks and work locations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Help coordinate work requests to ensure effective and efficient allocation of resources for both scheduled and reactive work requirements that come in daily.Help supervise work activities to ensure compliance with relevant safe work policies and procedures and ensure ALL safety issues are reported and addressed.Work with Admin staff to review daily paperwork to ensure ALL data entry is accurate and correct.Perform regular equipment inspections to assist with maintaining a high standard of management and housekeeping.Help with toolbox meetings and assist in the consistent delivery of safe work communications within the workplace.Assist in work scope and planning to provide safe and effective service solutions.Work closely with Administration staff in closing out open Work Orders and liaise with contractors to have issues rectified in a timely manner.Meet all JR Richards & Sons/Hydro Digga safety, environment and quality requirements as well as legislative/regulatory standards.Comply with NHVR responsibilities.Help identify and address any staff behavioral issues that may arise within the workplace.About youTo be successful in this role, you will require:
Minimum MR drivers' licence with a good driver record.Demonstrated experience working within an operations supervisor/team leader/works coordination role in the transport, waste, industrial services, or similar industry.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage positive working relationships with drivers/operators, internal/external clients, and the management team.Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn additional work management software systems.Strong organisational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage workloads.The capacity to assist with the safe and efficient delivery of site services, in particular larger planned projects, including high pressure water blasting, confined space, and working at height operations.The ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including early morning starts and potential away works when needed, as well as respond to urgent issues when they arise.Applicants for this must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident and be willing to undertake Pre-employment and ongoing Drug and Alcohol testing as part of contract compliance.
