Additionally, they are committed to addressing emerging challenges and enhancing the resilience of key sectors in response to global and domestic trends.Role DetailsOur client is seeking an experienced Program Manager or senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of ICT Networks projects within their Digital Services Division (DSD).DSD is responsible for managing and delivering Information and Communications Technology (ICT) functions across Australia and internationally, ensuring a secure, modern ICT environment that enables the department to operate 24/7 and achieve its strategic objectives. Key duties and responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:Engaging with stakeholders - Collaborate with business and product stakeholders across the Digital Services Division (DSD) to understand requirements, expectations, and challenges, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.Reporting and documentation - Prepare and deliver high-quality status reports, business cases, project artefacts, and documentation to Project Boards, Steering Committees, and Senior Executives within DSD.Project coordination and stakeholder management - Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating clear, timely, and effective communication and coordination across teams.Project lifecycle management - Develop and maintain project status reports and artefacts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business outcomes, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.Change management - Identify, assess, and manage project changes in accordance with established processes, governance frameworks, and best practices.Project planning and delivery - Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with program objectives, managing dependencies, and mitigating risks.Business adoption and transition - Facilitate the successful integration and adoption of project deliverables by business units, ensuring seamless transition and operational continuity.Governance and compliance - Ensure all project activities comply with departmental governance frameworks, ICT policies, and regulatory requirements.Technical engagement - Work closely with technical teams to capture and manage key project artefacts, including scope, timelines, budget, risks, and issues.Vendor and team management - Lead technical teams and collaborate with multiple vendors to deliver outcomes within tight timeframes, ensuring performance and quality expectations are met.Technical skillsDesirable technical skills include:Network Infrastructure - Expertise in LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and network security (firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust).Cloud & Virtualisation - Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, SDN).IT Governance & Compliance - Knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, and cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, Essential Eight).Project & Program Management - Proficiency in Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK, budgeting, risk management, and vendor management.How to ApplyIf you're ready to take on this exciting opportunity and join the team, please apply here or alternatively, you can email Lachlan from our Sydney office at quoting Job Reference 543825 to register your interest.
