Role Purpose
To support the Supplier Quality and Performance function within the supply chain by ensuring the quality and reliability of parts and services from suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supplier Issue Resolution: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address quality issues, track resolutions, and report progress to management.
* Non-Conforming Product Management: Oversee quarantine processes, implement corrective actions, and ensure suppliers eliminate issue recurrence.
* Supplier Audits: Develop audit plans, conduct audits, report findings, and drive improvements for critical supplier processes and products.
* First Article Inspection (FAI): Coordinate FAI processes with stakeholders, resolve supplier queries, and ensure timely approvals.
* Quality Inspection: Inspect incoming parts, manage documentation, and oversee quarantine procedures for non-conforming goods.
* Supplier Meetings: Organise regular meetings to address warranty resolutions, track issues, and clarify supplier queries with stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Strong problem-solving, issue resolution, and stakeholder management skills (internal and external).
* Proficient in technical analysis, measuring tools, and continuous improvement practices.
* Skilled in root cause analysis, prioritisation, and clear communication with senior leaders.
* Trustworthy team player promoting collaboration and sound business decisions.
* Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office, MRP systems, Power BI).
Experience:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3-6 years of Supplier Quality Assurance experience.
* Expertise in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015), supplier audits, and quality processes (PPAP, FAI, CARs, etc.).
* Proficient in Maximo, Power BI, and supplier performance monitoring/reporting.
* Knowledge of light rail rolling stock, safety standards, and maintenance requirements.
