We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Full-Time Chef to join their kitchen team. If you have a passion for cooking, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you Responsibilities: As a Chef at Fitz Cafe Wagga Wagga, your key duties will include: Planning, directing, and overseeing food preparation, cooking, and presentation in the kitchen. Managing stock levels and ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available. Working closely with kitchen staff to coordinate provisioning and purchasing of supplies. Developing and refining menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal trends. Cooking and seasoning dishes following the business' recipes and industry standards. Ensuring food quality, portion control, and attractive presentation. Training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff, including demonstrating advanced cooking techniques. Assisting and supporting the Head Chef in daily operations and special projects. Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations. Qualifications and Skills: Must have 2 years of experience Diploma in hospitality or equivalent in related area Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Great customer service skills A problem solving with the ability to work under pressure Confident and able to negotiate with persuasion Must have strong skills across all sections Strong time management and organizational skills Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and industry trends Familiarity with workplace safety and sanitation regulations Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $80,000, plus superannuation, based on a 38-hour work week.
