We specialise in bulk food exports around the world.About the Role: Marquis is seeking a dynamic and motivated International Sales Manager to manage and grow the stable, sustainable, and profitable international sales of macadamia products. The role will focus on developing new business in agreed regions and markets while managing existing customer relationships to uphold Marquis' strategic positioning and values. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to ensure the timely sales of all forecast crop, production, and products to maximize cash flow and minimize inventory holdings.This is a critical and unique role within our business. We envisage the right candidate will be flexible to relocate if required. There are specific regions in the world that are growing rapidly, and we need to ensure we maximise the potential by allocating the appropriate resources for success. This will involve a deep understanding of the wholesale and distributor model and sales management for mutually desired outcomes.Key Responsibilities:StrategicCollaborate with the CSO in developing sales strategies and plans.Contribute to the preparation of sales budgets and forecasts.Scope and research international and domestic markets for demand opportunities.Sales and MarketingNegotiate sales contracts and achieve target sales prices.Optimise the allocation of available product to customers to maximize profit.Seek and develop new customer accounts and markets.Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining Marquis' reputation for reliability and quality.Attend industry trade shows and gather business intelligence.New Product DevelopmentWork with the New Product Development and Quality Assurance teams to develop new value-added products for customers.ReportingPrepare weekly and monthly sales reports and attend regular sales meetings.Report on sales activity, market intelligence, and development opportunities.Customer Service, Production and LogisticsCollaborate with the production and logistics teams to ensure deliveries meet customer expectations.Assist in resolving logistics issues and capturing customer requirements in the CRM system (MARQ).QualityWork with the QA Team to establish Marquis as an approved vendor from a quality and food safety perspective with new customers.Assist in maintaining ongoing accreditation and resolving any customer QA issues.Administration and FinanceEnsure customer details are accurately captured in MARQ and assist in the system's ongoing development.Help ensure customers trade within agreed credit limits and assist with debt collection if needed.Negotiate sales contracts and delivery schedules within agreed limits.Qualifications and ExperienceRecognised degree in business, sales, marketing, or food sciences.Minimum 10 years of experience as an International Sales Manager in agribusiness or food industries, ideally in the nut or fruit sectors.Extensive network within the international and/or domestic retail chain, food manufacturers, and food processors.Experience in food safety is a plus.Personal CharacteristicsMotivated, independent, and a natural negotiator with commercial acumen.Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail.Outstanding customer focus and a team player.Willingness and ability for frequent international travel.If this sounds like an opportunity for you, we look forward to hearing from you.
