The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.
Duties
The Risk Officer is accountable to the Safety Systems Engineer and responsible for identifying, managing, reviewing, analysing, and overseeing Rail Safety and Enterprise/Business risks in accordance with legislation (Rail Safety National Law) and best practice.
The Risk Officer assists functions that build and promote a risk aware culture to increase levels of understanding and commitment to the management of the South Australia Public Transport Authority’s (SAPTA) risks. This is achieved through guiding and supporting key stakeholders including the department’s directors / managers with regards to their respective risk management responsibilities and requirements.
A key function of the role is to develop and implement processes that input and support the continuous improvement cycle of the SAPTAs Safety Management System.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role identifying, reviewing, analysing and managing safety/enterprise/business risks.
Knowledge and working experience of AS31000:2018 Risk Management Guidelines, Rail Safety National Law (SA) Act 2012, and Work Health and Safety Act 2012 is desirable.
A current Driver’s license is desirable.
Special Conditions
The successfulcandidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior toemployment with the Department. Additional employment checks may be requiredrelevant to the role being undertaken as outlined in the role statement.
Some outof hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel may berequired.
Remuneration
ASO5 - $83,273 to $92,614 per annum
