About the role and where you will be working: Germanus Kent House has all the features of a modern, state of the art facility while still incorporating the natural beauty and vibrant culture of the Kimberley region into its design. It provides accommodation and support to 55 residents and is co-located with our Bran Nue Dae centre. We are currently employing Hospitality Staff for Germanus Kent House located in Broome, WA. This will be a permanent position working Monday to Friday (07:00-15:00) both weeks. You'll be part of a team that plays a very important role in supporting the day-to-day running of our facility. Your working day can consist of cleaning, kitchen and laundry duties. Your responsibilities will include: Contribute to the creation of a home-like environment including maintaining all facility areas and ensuring clean and safe conditions are always upheld. Maintaining records such as completion of cleaning schedules. This role may assist with ordering food and other supplies. Aged Care experience (desired but not essential). About you: You easily relate to and empathise with others and can comfortably support people with complex mental health conditions. It would be terrific if you have mental health qualifications, but we also welcome applications if you're currently undertaking studies in this field. If required, we'll provide you with medication competence training. As you gain experience, we will develop the capability to become an Approved Supervisor.
