Executive Level 1 - IT Platform Manager - Document Generation
Job No : 494646
Tenure : Ongoing/Non-ongoing
Location : Flexible Location
Categories : Info/Comm Tech (ICT)
Our opportunity
The Document Generation Platform Manager is responsible for overseeing delivery, creation, maintenance, and support of forms and correspondence templates, and managing the DocGen Platform more broadly. IP Australia's forms and correspondence templates are built using Intelledox Infiniti and SmartCommunications SmartIQ software and, when integrated with our various Intellectual Property Rights administration systems, form the Document Generation (DocGen) Platform. The DocGen platform generates over 40,000 documents per month that we use to communicate with our customers as part of administering their intellectual property rights.
As manager of a small team, this is a multi-disciplinary leadership role requiring effective stakeholder engagement and people management skills, while still performing a high volume of development work requiring proficient technical ability, task prioritisation, and release management skills. As the main point of contact for all IP Rights correspondence and Internal Forms IT support enquiries, you will;
1. Manage (prioritise, respond, follow-up, etc) incoming requests/queries and create tasks in service delivery/management systems where necessary.
2. Troubleshoot application and system issues and bugs, and perform forms/correspondence changes and fixes in production and non-production IT environments.
3. Provide subject matter expertise (including solution design and best practice recommendations, etc) and support for existing solutions and a range of new initiatives, where Infiniti/SmartIQ is an integral component.
4. Liaise with IP Rights Product Owners and business stakeholders to schedule and deliver BAU and continuous improvement tasks in agreed time-frames, assist with (and co-ordinate, in some circumstances) release communications, and report on outcomes of production deployments.
5. Perform team management activities such as staff supervision, performance management, reporting, responding to data/information requests, etc.
6. Develop and maintain the teams' work plan, commit work items to product/system roadmaps, and provide input into section and group operational planning.
7. Develop user guides, technical documentation, knowledge base material, etc. and provide hands-on training for non-technical staff and fellow team members in ITG to use and support the Infiniti and SmartIQ software, and the Forms and Correspondence Platform more broadly.
In addition to BAU activities listed above, as the resident Infiniti and SmartIQ expert you can expect to play a crucial role in the migration of on-premise Intelledox templates to the SmartIQ SaaS platform as part of the Document Generation Platform to Cloud project.
