Our client is a highly respected surfacing contractor with a diverse portfolio of projects from concrete, asphalting, and more.
Due to continued year-on-year growth, they have now identified the need for a Transport Logistical Manager to manage their expanding fleet of various size lorries and low loaders.
In this role, you will be responsible for the profitability and utilization of this 20+ strong fleet of vehicles.
This will include, but is not limited to:
Lead an existing team of yard, office, and driver personnel.
Accountability of business unit including profitability whilst implementing cost-saving if appropriate.
Cost-effective utilization of existing fleet with existing client's projects.
Promote company haulage ability with existing and new client base.
Promote our client's haulage ability to third parties.
To be considered, applicants MUST be able to demonstrate the following: Proven experience in logistics management OR transport operations.
Knowledge of current transport regulations.
Experience in scheduling, cost control, and budgeting.
Maintain and develop relationships with both existing and new business clients.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent man management skills with both drivers and senior management.
Strong focus on health and safety protocol.
