You’ll assess post-release needs and coordinate referrals for housing, employment, education, and social support, while also delivering pre-release programs to promote positive behaviour change. Located at Clarence Correctional Centre, you’ll join a dedicated team committed to rehabilitation, reintegration, and fostering a safe and respectful environment. As a Reintegration Officer, you’ll make a positive impact by: Engaging inmates to assess needs and develop tailored reintegration plans. Delivering pre-release programs that address post-release challenges. Liaising with internal teams and external support services to ensure effective referrals. Documenting and reporting on inmate progress and program outcomes. Supporting a trauma-informed approach to rehabilitation. Serco is a place for you To be successful in this role, you’ll have: A qualification in psychology, criminology, social work, and community services (or relevant industry experience). Certificate IV in Correctional Practice-Case Management or completed within the first 12 months of employment. Skills in group facilitation and managing challenging behaviours. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. An understanding of cognitive-behavioural approaches to behavioural change. High integrity, resilience, and an empathetic approach to diverse needs.
