You will support the delivery of a diverse program of strategic and iconic University events including Graduations, Open Day, student recruitment, brand reputation and engagement events.
Under direction from the Events Manager, you will liaise with a broad range of stakeholders to plan, execute and evaluate events and related initiatives, and provide advice to internal stakeholders on best practice, in alignment with UWA's strategic objectives of enhancing brand reputation and attracting students.
About you
1. Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency (Degree in Event Management, Business Management, Public Relations, or equivalent)
2. Substantial relevant experience working in a busy event coordination role
3. Experience in producing high quality and accurate event documentation including project plans, briefs, budgets and risk management
4. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes
5. Highly developed organisational skills to effectively plan, implement and evaluate events and relevant strategic projects
Note: Ability to work outside normal office hours, occasional weekend work and undertake physical tasks such as packing and unpacking materials will be required.
