Job Description
We have a permanent opportunity available as a Product Analyst, working within a specialist Group Life product team. This team is responsible for delivering market-leading, profitable products and services, and supporting TAL’s Group Life clients comprising of Master Trusts and Corporate plans.
This role supports the product portfolio management and development for Wealth Management partners, while using analytical and problem-solving skills to support the Group Life business to acquire new mandates, install new schemes, maintain market-competitive products, and retain and grow valuable existing partnerships.
In this role you will:
* Understand the dynamics of Wealth Management partners
* Support active product management plans/strategies that are in place for a product portfolio to ensure profitability
* Support the development and maintenance of up-to-date product documentation for Group Life and Group Salary Continuance including proposals, policy documents, service level agreements, and other required disclosure material
* Support policy drafting, signoff, and execution
* Know and track client portfolio rankings based on available research databases
* Track and report on Product approved exceptions/concessions for the client portfolio
* Provide support and analysis for projects and opportunities as required by the Head of Product
* Support the creation of marketing/technical material
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, business, or a related discipline
* Knowledge of the life insurance industry, with experience in interpreting, reviewing and devising detailed terms and conditions plus an understanding of pricing methodologies
* Outstanding analytical skills and methodologies
* Excellent time management, organisational, and presentation skills
* Knowledge of compliance and other legislative requirements
* Excellent attention to detail
* Product analysis and new opportunity assessment experience within the financial services industry
* Skilled at writing technical documentation with in-depth knowledge of MS Office suite
* Client relationship, negotiation, and influencing skills, desired
* Knowledge of project management theory, desired
