In this role, you'll be at the heart of our construction projects, providing essential technical expertise, project management, and on-site coordination. You'll also play a crucial part in ensuring our projects meet Aurizon's high standards for safety, environmental responsibility, and quality.As the successful candidate, you'll work closely with clients and both internal and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans. This includes defining scopes of work, setting programs, drafting service agreements, and creating robust risk management plans. You'll also manage cost plans and cash flows to align with the specifications and expectations of our customers, ensuring successful project delivery from start to finish.Other responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:Delivering asset renewal projects, maintenance and external projects covering general earthworks, formation, bridges, culverts, level crossings and other rail-associated works.Providing support to the project team throughout the entire project lifecycle, from tendering to project completion.Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and resolve delivery roadblocks and escalate when required.Providing advice in relation to project planning and developing project cost estimates, risk assessments, and construction methods when required.Managing Contractor's safety performance, project progress, conformance with scope of work, contract deliverables, quality standards and specifications.Providing support and supervision to field operations, ensuring work complies with quality, safety, environmental standards and other relevant legislation.Identifying design and constructability issues and assisting in providing the most efficient solution.About you: Bachelor of Engineering (Civil preferred).CPEng/RPEQ qualifications (or working towards).Current Class C Drivers Licence (mandatory).Ideally 5 years' experience in project delivery across mid to large-scale civil projects (essential).High level of skill in planning, organising, and programming of infrastructure construction projects.Familiarity with WHS and Environmental legislation and ability to produce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).Strong level of computer skills, including Microsoft and Primavera (preferred).Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills both written and verbal.Willing to commit to travel as needed and willing to relocate to Mackay for the role (NO FIFO/DIDO).What we offer you: At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
