About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities Manager or Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and building services of a major regional shopping centre in Perth's southern suburbs. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing building operations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, WH&S regulations, and driving efficiency across all facets of the operation. Your expertise in contractor management, budgeting, forecasting, and project management will be essential in ensuring the centre’s smooth operation and continued success.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day management of building operations, maintenance, and services.
* Ensure the highest standards of safety, presentation, and comfort are consistently met.
* Manage contractor relationships and ensure effective delivery of services.
* Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports in alignment with business goals.
* Proactively address complex operational challenges and provide innovative solutions.
* Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and high performance.
* Manage health and safety protocols, ensuring the safety of staff, contractors, and customers.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Implement and monitor retail lease agreements, tenancy management, and centre operations.
The successful candidate will have:
* Proven experience as an Operations or Facilities Manager, ideally within a shopping centre or retail environment.
* Strong knowledge of building operations, legislative compliance, WH&S standards, and project management.
* Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and contractor relationships.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage change effectively.
* In-depth understanding of retail leases, tenancy delivery, facilities management, and safety/security protocols.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
