RivMed is seeking an experienced Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Out of Home Care Practitioner/Manager to lead and grow our Out of Home Care Team and program.
The successful applicant will work within a growing, supportive team at Riverina Medical & Dental Aboriginal Corporation (RivMed) to deliver high-quality Out of Home Care while ensuring culturally appropriate outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Over the next 3-5 years, the team is expected to triple in size, caring for approximately 90 children. This is an opportunity to shape the team and achieve great outcomes for children and carers.
During the initial growth stages, the Manager may need to take an active, hands-on approach.
The Role
The Manager OOHC/Principal Officer will report directly to the CEO and play a key role in supporting RivMed's ambitious goals.
The role involves strategic development, financial management, operational oversight, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement for RivMed's Permanency Support Program – Out of Home Care program.
The Manager as Principal Officer will be responsible for supervising statutory Out of Home Care delivery while meeting legal requirements under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Regulation 2012.

About You
* Aboriginality: Confirmation of Aboriginality is required.
* Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Business, Management, or related fields.
* Minimum five years' experience in the PSP and child protection sector, with extensive understanding of relevant standards, legislation, and Office of the Children's Guardian (OCG) and Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) requirements.
* Experience working with peak bodies, funding agencies, service regulators, strategic partners, and community.
* Demonstrated managerial experience, including budgetary and human resource management.
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel for work-related purposes.

* Salary Range $130,000 - $140,000 per annum.
