The Change Manager is accountable for the development, delivery & execution of ongoing reforms & other initiatives supporting the energy transition.

About the role This role has been established to support the delivery of ongoing reforms and other initiatives required to support the energy transition in the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) – Western Australia's main electricity system.
Our Change Manager is responsible to lead and deliver change management activities for assigned workstreams and projects within the WA Reform Program.
The role is part of a team of change professionals, and reports to the Manager - Business & Market Readiness.
The Change Manager is a hands-on role, with a strong focus on implementing IT and regulatory changes.
That means you will be accountable for undertaking/implementing each stage of the change management process from impact assessment to high-level strategy, to detailed plans and delivering the change interventions.
The Change Manager will be expected to quickly develop familiarity with key market concepts and processes through a combination of SME support and self-guided learning.
You will need to be a resourceful self-starter, confident in using your initiative to obtain inputs and deliver outputs.
This is a 12-month fixed term position; however, our multi-year work plan suggests longer term opportunities would be likely if the candidate demonstrates a good fit.
What you will be doing Leverage and apply the AEMO Enterprise Change Framework, Principles and supporting templates to deliver key artefacts (plans, strategies) whilst working with the Enterprise Change Practice and Change Assurance model to ensure required levels of quality and consistency.
Develop and deliver a variety of project artefacts throughout the project lifecycle including (but not limited to) Change Impact Assessments, Communication and Engagement Plans, Learning and Training Assessment/Strategy/Plans, Business Readiness, Change Handover Plans, and where required status reports.
Develop a sound working knowledge of relevant business processes and combine this knowledge with input from subject matter experts to develop and deliver all required materials, outputs, and solutions to drive Communications, Training/Learning, and Engagement.
Work with Project Managers and Senior Change Managers to identify and manage relevant Risks, Issues, Dependences and Resourcing Demand.
Work closely with other Change Management resources in other initiatives to minimize touch points, manage dependences, and drive consistent change experiences.
Manage process, system, and documentation changes due to regulatory or business improvements, acting as a representative for software changes and ensuring stakeholder communication.
Create clear, high-quality reports and presentations on complex concepts for informed audiences.
Foster supportive team relationships, mentor colleagues, and establish networks across the business.
Communicate technical or regulatory issues effectively with key stakeholders, including through forums and engagements with external agencies.
What you will bring to the role Certification and working experience in the application of Change Management methodology (e.g.
Kubler-Ross, Bridges Transition Model.
PROSCI, Human Centred Design) desirable Change Management Institute membership and Accreditation at a Specialist or higher level (desirable) or a willingness to obtain these within six months of commencing (essential).
Between 3- and 5-years' experience five years' experience across the full spectrum of Change Management artefacts, tools and techniques including Change Impact Assessments, Change Strategy/Plans, Communications / Engagement, Training / Learning Strategies/Plans, Business Readiness Checks, and Handovers.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of Project Management approaches, tools, methodologies and phases (Waterfall, Agile, Lean).
Excellent skills in time management, prioritization, speed, accuracy and the ability to work across multiple projects in parallel.
Demonstrated experience supporting large scale and complex programs of work covering people, process and technology/data impacts.
Demonstrated experience in coaching others and using techniques to drive positive behaviour and proven ability to creatively work to resolve (with Project support) stakeholder needs and challenges.
Business acumen and ability to identify and understand organizational issues, challenges, and solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication and engagement skills.
