The Bread Social is looking for a Full Time Pastry Chef to join our professional team in our new location at Currumbin Waters. Experience in pastry production & viennoiserie is essential. The ideal candidate must be excited by the art of baking and take pride in their work. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role, with pastry experience. Relevant certifications are also a plus. We are hoping for an enthusiastic, reliable, and skilled person with a passion for organic, Australian, and local produce. You are required to be organised, efficient, and capable of delivering a consistent standard of work. Pastry production starts from 5am. Skills Required (but not essential): Creating pastries, baked goods & viennoiserie Pastry production & prep work Work deck ovens, monitoring and adjusting oven temperatures determined by baking times Monitoring stock levels of ingredients Able to work within a team Able to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of bakery cleanliness and hygiene Pay rate/salary will be calculated on experience.
