Education Support for Children in Care (ESCC) Teacher - Based in Morwell

About the role
As an ESCC Teacher with Junction Support Services, you will play a vital role in providing educational support and instruction to children and young people in out-of-home care. Based in Morwell with the expectation to travel to co-locations, this full-time or part time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable students, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.
What you'll be doing
1. Deliver individual learning plans to students in out-of-home care
2. Assess students' learning needs and provide targeted support and interventions
3. Collaborate with carers, case workers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing and development
4. Maintain detailed student records and contribute to the development of individual education plans
5. Organise and facilitate engaging learning activities and engagement opportunities
6. Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment for all students
What we're looking for
1. A relevant tertiary qualification; Bachelor of Education.
2. Must have a full Victorian Teaching Registration
3. Demonstrated understanding of the developmental needs of children and young people, as well as knowledge of the educational barriers experienced by children and young people residing in Care Services (Kinship Care, Foster Care, Residential Care, Lead Tenant).
4. Proven experience teaching children and young people with the ability to adapt evidence informed teaching methods to meet individualised learning styles.
5. A genuine passion for working with students of all ages, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate and engage students.
