Location:
Our preference is for candidates to be located in Canberra, however we want to
recruit the best people to our department and support flexible work

The opportunity we have available
The Digital Solutions Delivery and Sustainment section, which is part of the Digital Delivery Branch in the IT Division is responsible for the development of digital solutions and business applications enabling the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts to succeed in executing its responsibilities on behalf of the Commonwealth Government of Australia.
Our section currently is seeking experienced Digital Delivery Managers to work with our development teams, with either a project focus to deliver new applications and digital solutions, or continuous development and enhancement existing applications and solutions.
Reporting to a Director within the Digital Delivery Branch, you will work closely with, and provide leadership to a small to medium sized team consisting largely of business systems analysts, software developers and test analysts. You will be supported more broadly by a range of other roles and skills across the division including IT architecture, Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Cloud platform Operations, and ICT Finance and Procurement.
Our scope of responsibility currently encompasses the following:
1. Road Vehicle Standards enabling systems
2. New Vehicle Efficiency Standard enabling systems
3. National Infrastructure Grants Management enabling systems
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a motivated, experienced IT professional with extensive knowledge and skills across a wide range of enterprise IT systems, technologies, and capabilities. A self-starter who thrives working with limited oversight who can deliver outcomes and achieve results.
The successful candidate(s) will have skills and demonstrated experience in the following areas:
4. The delivery of complex digital solutions in an agile environment, including day-to-day support for the agile development team
5. Ability to engage with business and ICT stakeholders on all aspects of the solution and/or project
6. Strong track record of effectively managing scope, risks and issues, being able to prioritise effectively and ensure
7. Effective leadership skills, with the ability to work and lead others in an environment which is at times ambiguous and subject to evolving requirements
8. Excellent communication skills, including adapting to different audiences
9. An understanding of Commonwealth procurement is highly desirable
