Stomal Specialist Nurse
A skilled nurse is required to make a meaningful impact in the community as a Stomal Specialist Nurse in Port Lincoln.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing expert, person-centred care to individuals with faecal and urinary diversions, chronic wounds, and other related health issues.
* Educating patients and their families about stoma and wound care management.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care across the community.
* Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with clinical activities, training, and coordination of services.
* Contributing to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
* Leading and mentoring less experienced staff and students in clinical settings.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience and a current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia practising certificate.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
* Strong communication, problem-solving skills, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
* Knowledge of quality improvement systems and contemporary nursing practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
