About the role
We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations in Geelong, VIC.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management
* Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes
* Manage and train a team of skilled kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
* Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to maintain profitability
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide an exceptional dining experience for our customers
* Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a similar high-volume, fine dining or upscale casual restaurant environment
* Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, as well as inventory and cost management
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Possession of advanced grill skills and passion for using local and seasonal ingredients to create exceptional dishes
