Position Overview: As a Facilities Coordinator, Aged Infrastructure at BGIS, you will support the Facilities Manager in delivering audits, inspections, testing, and remedial works for aged infrastructure and essential services. Collaborating with a specialist contractor, your key responsibilities include:
6. Identifying defects in building structures and fabrics through visual and, when necessary, intrusive inspections.
7. Implementing immediate remedial actions to address identified risks and ensure safety.
8. Conducting risk assessments of remaining defects to recommend necessary remedial actions for mitigating risks and maintaining ongoing safe facility operations.
9. Managing all aspects of the Essential Services testing program to ensure compliance for issuing Annual Certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
10. Document Control: Manage and maintain program documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client guidelines.
11. Quality Oversight: Ensure all documentation meets quality standards and client processes.
12. Team Support: Assist the broader team in overseeing project milestones and documentation.
13. Stakeholder Engagement: Address the needs of stakeholders to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
14. Project Coordination: Support the team in completing various project stages effectively.
15. Value Delivery: Help deliver optimal value for Defence through meticulous document management and quality assurance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
16. Vocational training in building systems or construction.
17. Minimum of 2 years of administrative or coordination support experience, preferably in a construction or project management environment.
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
19. Experience with project management software and/or ERP systems.
20. Strong knowledge of building systems and National Construction Codes (NCC).
21. Developed commercial acumen and a working knowledge of contract law.
Desirable:
22. Certificate IV in Construction or a relevant qualification (preferred).
23. High school diploma.
